It has been an adventurous time. We got up at 4am to leave a little later for Chicago's O'Hare airport to catch our plane to Atalanta. The airport was bedlam - yesterday it was closed for most of the day due to the blizzard. I have never seen an airport so crowded. Amazingly - after being patted down at security - our plane left on time and we arrived in Atlanta around 11am local time.
What a pretty city. Lots of trees, a beautiful cool and sunny Winter's day (13 Celsius or so) and lots to see. After booking into our hotel we traveled downtown to the Martin Lither King centre where we viewed the very extensive exhibits for about 2 hours or so. We then headed right onto the heart of the city, where we wandered around taking in the sights - including all the fans arriving for a huge college football game (65,000 people in an indoor stadium!). We headed back to the hotel around 6pm. All this was done with me driving - boy it is hard to stay on the right hand side of the road.
Tomorrow we head for Northpoint Church, where we will be from 8am until well after lunch. It has an amazing children and families ministry so it should be great. We also hope to visit another church in the evening. Having a great time. Missing Sue and the kids terribly.
