A resurrected Jesus told an otherwise bewildered group of disciples that they would be his witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judean, in Samaria and to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). In effect he was telling them they would proclaim in word and deed his kingdom to the dangerous, different, difficult and distant places of their world. Their mission is ours.
